pep talk

my sister, she knows how to put a smile on my face

while patching wounds on my heart

she says

“you know, men are such clowns

at first

their mothers abandoned them

and then, they were left behind by the traveling circus.

as soon as they suck on your breast

they think  they are back home, in power,

playing drama in clown costumes.

what a laugh!”

she laughs.

I laugh.

and we sing Vladimir Visotsky  “look at those clowns”
